Tassels (make 4)

Wrap yarn around a 5-inch cardboard square or book 64 times. Cut along the bottom edge to create 10-inch lengths of yarn.

Cut a separate long length of yarn and tie it around the center of the 10-inch strands to create a bundle. This will be the top of the tassel and where it will connect to the blanket.

Once tied, pick up the bundle and lay it down so all of the cut edges of the bundles are on the same side (opposite of the newly created top).

Cut another long length of yarn and wrap it around the bundle about 1-inch below the top of the tassel. Wrap it around several times and knot to secure.

Trim the bottoms of the tassels to even the fringe, if desired.

Attach one tassel to each corner of the blanket and weave in ends.
